MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND: We would like to thank all those who visited ArtWorks at the Memorial Day Weekend Event and Tent Sale this past weekend. Although it was a bit strained due to the COVID-19 issue, it was great to see some of our return customers and we were thrilled to meet new people.

TOWNS COUNTY SENIOR CENTER CLASSES - COME JOIN US - EXTENDED THROUGH THE MONTH OF APRIL - CLASSES CURRENTLY SUSPENDED DUE TO COVID-19.
The Towns County Senior Center is holding arts and craft classes each Monday in the months of February - April. A beading class and an acrylic painting classes took place the first two weeks in February. Check with the senior center for current schedule of classes.

At the December Guild meeting, toys were collected for "Toys for the Towns County Sheriff's Empty Stocking Fund" and a collection was taken up to support the Towns County Firefighters Association. Toys were dropped off at the Sheriff's office and the donation to the Towns County Fire Department was accepted by Hiawassee Mayor Liz Ordiales.

The Guild supports and promotes its working artists and crafters members from the North Georgia and North Carolina mountain area. The 50+ members work in many different medias and over 25 of the members are also a part of ArtWorks Gallery and Gifts which is a retail store selling the work of Guild members and also houses the classrooms where Guild members teach, sharing their expertise with students on a regular basis.
This program is supported in part by the Georgia Council for the Arts through the appropriations of the Georgia General Assembly. GCA also receives support from its partner agency - the National Endowment for the Arts.
